Announcing the Parental Attunement Questionnaire
Our guiding principle of Research and Evidence says:
The Problems We Solve with the Parental Attunement Questionnaire
The problem to solve is creating a more connection based and outcomes-focused baseline that a coach can use to guide coaching.
Additionally, we need to more scientifically measure our impact on critical dependent variables such as absenteeism.
How does the Parental Attunement Questionnaire help the coach?
Identification of Key Parenting Support Areas: We can identify specific areas where the client and their child need support, such as family connection, communication, emotions (anxiety, stress, depression, etc.), social connection, social activities (including absenteeism), and parent and child technology use.
More Relevant Coaching Plans and Connection: By understanding in more depth the parent child relationship and emotional status, the coach can create more relevant and connecting plans to help families improve.
Monitored and Measured Progress: We now have a framework for tracking changes and improvements over time from our program, allowing the coach to adjust strategies as needed, and share outcomes with potential partners.
How the Assessment Improves Outcomes
Baseline Measurement: By measuring where the parent and their child are at the beginning of the coaching experience, the assessment sets a benchmark for future comparison and the measurement of outcomes.
Ability to Adapt, Modify, and Meet the Ongoing Needs of the Parent: Regular assessments help in monitoring the parent’s progress and the effectiveness of the coaching interventions. Regularly assessing allows for our coaches to modify the plans and meet each parent individually, and in a relevant way.
Enhanced Self-Awareness through Measured Progress: Parents gain a better understanding of current emotional and psychological states, and improvements over time, empowering and motivating them to continue engagement in the program.
Measured Outcomes and Improvements: We now have a subjective evaluation of the desired effect of our interventions and support. This assessment, combined with objective sources like Voice Assessments, can provide more meaningful reporting and feedback to grants, school districts, and other stakeholders.

The Parental Attunement Questionnaire is authored by our own Dr. Kevin Skinner.

How does the assessment work?

Parents Take the Assessment Upon Onboarding
As they register, schedule a session, and then join the app, parents will have a message waiting for them in the app to take the assessment.
The initial assessment will include demographic information.
Coaches and Clients Will See the Results of the Assessment in the App
We’ve not only added the assessment but have updated the app to show the progress over time. They can then click in and see the detail of the answers within the app.

In Their Coaching Session, Coaches Review the Assessment
Using the detail from the assessment, the coach will set relevant and actionable goals with the parent.
Parents are Prompted to Re-take the Assessment Every Six Weeks
Every six weeks, parents will be prompted to re-take the assessment. We are tracking assessment completion percentage and the CTC team will follow-up as needed.

What are the details of the rollout?
- The new assessment will be rolled out within the next couple of weeks.
+
- The new assessment will seamlessly integrate into regular coaching sessions without any disruptions.
+
- Both client and coach will see the scores from the assessment.
+
- Outcomes reporting will be available upon multiple completions by a single client.
